Welcome To The September/October Issue

You will read about how this state-of-the-art system allows surgeons to perform complex surgical procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision.

Moffitt Patient/Family Testimonial

Moffitt Patient/Family Testimonial

Craig Shafer experienced a hit-and-run accident near his Bradenton home one sultry night in August 2007. He doesn’t recall the details of the accident, but he clearly recalled the urgency in his doctor’s voice during a follow-up visit when he learned he needed to see a urologist.

The diagnosis was soon confirmed – a fast growing form of testicular cancer. Shafer received treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center, and the challenging experiences of the past 18 months have strengthened him.

“I made a choice that through all this, I was not going to be a victim; I was going to be an example and an inspiration that you can come back…. Life is so precious. I’m more alive today than I’ve ever been.”
